I am a Consumer Whore #4

Today, I purchased an NES to replace the one I gave away long ago. I overpaid for it at a used game store because I didn't want to put effort into Craigslist.

That is not what this post is about.

On the way back from buying the NES, I stopped at a Radio Shack. I have two rather large speakers in my living room, I wanted the monaural output from the NES to go into both of them, and I didn't want to wait on shipping from Monoprice et al. At the Radio Shack, I paid $6.29 for an RCA Y-adapter.

I am not going to Radio Shack again.

I have Field Manual. I have Reality Surpasses Fiction. I don't think I'm ready for Puppetmastaz. Maybe next year.

Handbasket

I just saw a TV commercial for Internet Explorer. It aired during a basketball game.

Google's SOPA-protest link currently points to http://www.google.comhttps//www.google.com/landing/takeaction/. I hope they can register with the comhttps TLD operator before somebody else notices.

Also, hi, blog hosts.

2012 Outback Bowl Recap

So much more fun than last year.

Unedited again, except where the wording of my notes would've been completely incomprehensible.

OPENING COIN TOSS:

  • STOP THE GAME RIGHT NOW WE HAVE WON
  • Either the SMB is miced more loudly than usual or Jenn Brown is standing near them and they're taking full advantage.
  • The lipstick on Georgia's cheerleaders is frightening.
